The Family Behind Bèbè Wamu
Hi, I'm Casey a full-time W.A.H.Mama, wife and a part-time student at Syracuse University. I started to make my own cloth diapers after we had
decided to put our daughter in cloth diapers full-time and I couldn't find anyone local to me who made or sold them! Soon after we had started to cloth diaper our daughter I opened Bébé Wamu, Syracuse, New Yorks original cloth diaper and attachment parenting store, and on September 7, 2007 Bébé Wamu was featured on Bridge Street with Rick Gary & Julie Abbott (a local morning television talk show) and our business took off! We have recently expanded into an old school cloth diapering service in Onondaga county, Buffalo, Binghamton, Auburn, Skaneatelas, Watertown and Fort Drum.
Our goal with Bèbè Wamu is to make cloth diapering cheap, easy and fun for other Mama's in the Upstate New York region!
Happy Cloth Diapering!

Why we believe in Cloth Diapers & why we despise "Sposies"...
At around 2 1/2 months of age my daughter started to get horrible chaffing rashes from the highly toxic chemicals that are used in disposable diapers.
I felt so bad for her and I thought that there had to be another option besides just choosing a disposable diaper brand at the store.
My mom suggested that I cloth diaper her, just like how she had cloth diapered my brothers and I.
My first reaction's were 1) no one cloth diapers anymore and 2) there is no way that at 23 years old am I going to be washing diapers!
Boy was I ever wrong. I started to do some basic research and I found a whole new side to cloth diapering that I definitely did not expect to find.
No longer did cloth diapers just consist of pre-folds/flats and a pair of rubber pants to keep the wet in, but there were fun and exciting options available!
I bought my first cloth diaper and my daughters chaffing and rash issues immediately cleared up beacuse HELLO chemicals in disposables + pee-pee (amonia) = a chemical reaction everytime my daughter "went to the bathroom!"
I was hooked on cloth diapers!
